Last Night, and all the time in between

Here you will find what inspires me. Unless the photo is linked to my Flickr, I most likely didn't take it... My Flickr (Check it Out) follow me on Instagram: dfaithk
it is the end of an era
last night…

I went to coldstone for FTK scoops and 100 days til THON, and found out that joe pa was officially fired. This has been a rough week for the Penn State community

last night…

We had a “retreat” to replace our lost canning weekend, it turned out to be a few of us watching movies and how i met your mother, eating ellio’s, and reading sad tweets, articles and facebook posts about JoePa.

I wrote a whole paragraph on how I feel right now as my facebook status, so I won’t bore you all with that. But this is truly a sad day for me, my school, football and we will never forget the impact that Joe Paterno left on our hearts and our humility.

last night…

I went to the vigil for Joseph Vincent Paterno, the greatest man to walk on the campus of Pennsylvania State University and our greatest contributor to honor and pride. He will always be remembered, and even when our candles burn out Joe, your legacy will continue to live on.

1926-2012

I hope you saw us leading you home Joe

I just came inside from watching Joe Paterno’s funeral procession from the sidewalk in front of my apartment. All of this hadn’t hit me, not really, until that moment when the Hearst passed in front of me and I said “there he is” to my roommate.

I am so proud of my school as of late, we may get bashed by the media and people all around the world may not understand what it is like to live here and experience all these things first hand, so they brush us aside as horrible people.

But if you saw what I did today, all the people lining the streets from where they held Joe’s viewing to his burial, you would be humbled. We all stood in silence, tears in our eyes, and taking in every second.

The past few months have been that which we will never forget.

And we will never forget Joseph Vincent Paterno either, 1926-2012

Love forever,
Your Penn State Family
